At the Rheinau site, you can expect a versatile and practical education in an exciting psychiatric environment. They accompany people with mental illnesses, strengthen their resources and support them in developing new perspectives. In addition, you will attend the theory lessons at the Education Center for Health and Social Affairs (BfGS) in Weinfelden and thus combine what you have learned directly with exciting experiences in everyday work. During your training, experienced specialists are at your side, who accompany and promote you on your way. They learn to look after people professionally, to support them competently in crisis situations and to take on responsibility together with an interprofessional team. You will further develop your professional and personal skills and lay the foundation for a wide range of career opportunities in psychiatric care. - Accompaniment and care of people with mental illnesses in different phases of life – with a focus on recovery, self-determination and resource orientation
- Planning, executing, documenting and evaluating interventions according to the care process
- Estimating complex clinical situations and deriving evidence-based nursing measures
- Building a professional and empathetic relationship with patients and their relatives
- Completing training assignments in the forensic field and getting to know the special requirements of forensic psychiatry
- Visit to theory lessons at the Education Center for Health and Social Affairs (BfGS) in Weinfelden
