Canton of Zurich Financial Directorate Office for Computer Science Technology Innovation Architect 80 - 100% The Office for Computer Science (AFI) is the computer science competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of central computer infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the administration of justice and independent institutions. In charge of implementing the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the Office for Informatics accompanies and supports the Canton of Zurich in the digital world. In the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH), we shape technological innovation in the Canton of Zurich. We identify relevant developments at an early stage, identify potential for administration and make new technologies tangible through concrete use cases. New technologies not only observe, but develop, test and fly themselves. As a Technology Innovation Architect with a focus on product development, you develop convincing use cases together with the administrative units and accompany them in identifying, assessing and practically trying out the potential of modern technologies. Become part of the Digital Innovation Hub and shape the technological future of cantonal administration with us. Your tasks:

• You keep an eye on technology trends, evaluate their relevance and actively develop the technology radar of the canton.
• You help shape innovation workshops and formats, make new technologies tangible and identify concrete use cases together with the participants.
• Prototypes (PoC) and pilot projects (MVP) are developed and validated together with the administrative units and derived insights into potential, feasibility and fields of application.
• You develop the partner network with industry, universities and administration and actively maintain it.
• When translating technology innovations into value creation, you advise the participating bodies.
• You prepare results and recommendations appropriate to the addressee and present them to the relevant committees as a basis for decision-making. Your profile:
• Technical background and several years of experience in digital innovation and product development projects, including rapid prototyping and validation of PoCs and MVPs.
• Training at CAS/MAS level, e.g. in IT architecture, technology management or innovation & tech.
• Familiar with innovation methods such as design thinking, prototyping techniques and co-creation.
• Hands-on mentality, pronounced implementation competence and joy in converting ideas into tangible solutions.
• Strategic thinking skills, persuasion and strong presentation skills in German.
• Ability to bring together different stakeholders from disciplines, IT and external partners; A network in the Swiss tech or innovation landscape. What we offer you:
