Engage with us for the vision of a solidarity society, as Caritas Switzerland has been running asylum centres for families, individuals and unaccompanied minors (MNA) at five locations in the Canton of Zurich since March 2024 on behalf of the Cantonal Social Office (KSA). In this responsible role, you combine leadership skills with socio-pedagogical specialist work and actively shape the development of the team and young people. Their tasks
- Professional and personnel management and advice of the MNA residential group team, solution-oriented intervention in problems and conflicts
- Planning of the personnel deployment in accordance with the personnel requirements planning in agreement with the centre management
- Participation in the recruitment of additional professionals for the team
- Preparation, follow-up and conduct of meetings, including case meetings
- Promotion of the professional development of employees
- Representation of the housing group vis-à-vis internal and external bodies
- Promoting constructive, appreciative and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Conduct of employee interviews as well as support for target agreement and performance development
- Taking over from an MNA case management
Our requirements
- Completed recognised socio-pedagogical training (or equivalent)
- Experience in migration and/or youth work desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good knowledge of German, further knowledge of foreign languages beneficial
- Intercultural competence
- Willingness to provide time varying working hours
- High sense of responsibility and quality
- Own initiative and self-employment and enforcement
- High resilience and resilience
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge
- Reliable gum
