The ETH Library promotes knowledge, supports research and teaching and, as a trustworthy institution, makes the world of yesterday, today and tomorrow more comprehensible. Due to a disease-related outage, we are looking for the support of the Data Science & Research Support team immediately, for the time being until 30. June 2027 one system engineer:in for DSpace 80% (m/f/d).
Job description
In this role, you will work in an outstanding, active team that provides the archives and research facilities of one of the most renowned universities in the world with a wide range of offers.
Your area of responsibility lies in a dynamic environment with a motivating working environment: You are building a new instance of the Research Collection – the repository for publications and research data at ETH Zurich – in your team.
Your area of expertise is varied and includes the following tasks:
- Cooperation in the containerization of the components of DSpace
- Collaboration in the development of images with the Dspace fork used
Profile
- Experience in the server administration of Dspace or
- Proven know-how in the operation and administration of Angular and Tomcat applications under Linux
In addition, we would be happy if you bring experience in the following fields:
- Container environments
- PostgreSQL
- Solr
- Apache web servers
