The University of Zurich is the largest university in Switzerland, the Faculty of Law one of the largest law faculties in the German-speaking area. The section Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law comprehensively covers civil law, bond law, civil procedural law and international private law both from a national and from a comparative legal perspective in research and teaching. Legal economic and empirical perspectives are also represented. Currently, a top assistant position of 100% (adjustment of the employment level or job sharing possible by agreement) is to be filled. The technical focus is flexibly defined within the research areas of the section. We offer you a challenging and versatile activity, individual support for your research projects and your further academic development, scientific exchange within and outside the specialist group, flexible working hours and a stimulating, innovative environment. The employment conditions are based on the cantonal legal requirements. The employment is limited to three years (with the possibility of a one-off or, in exceptional cases, two-time extension by one year).
Tasks
Her core task is research, in particular the preparation of a postdoctoral thesis in the field of private law or civil procedure law. The job profile also includes participation in teaching, including the implementation of own courses. You also take on tasks in the administration of the specialist group.

They have excellent academic degrees, an outstanding dissertation, pronounced pleasure in science and teaching as well as high social competence. You are striving for a scientific career and want to qualify for a professorship within the framework of the senior assistant position. With regard to this and the temporal conditions of employment, the invitation to tender is aimed in particular at postdoctoral researchers.
