With their work in the five social centres, the social services ensure that people in the city of Zurich can count on effective basic social care.

For our team at the Social Center Selnau, we are looking for motivated personalities as an assistant for a temporary employment of 6-12 months.

Tasks

• They carry out civil law mandates in child protection and accompany children, adolescents and their families in demanding living situations.
• You will be administratively supported by staff, can draw on the knowledge of internal specialist positions and work closely with your colleagues in the team.
• They take on representation assistance with different tasks, including in complex family situations as well as in questions relating to visitation and contact rights.
• They shape the cooperation with children, parents, specialist bodies, authorities and other people involved in a solution-oriented and professional manner.
• They capture complex situations, develop viable solutions and represent the interests and well-being of the children and adolescents involved.
• You document your work in a case management system and ensure careful mandate management.

Profile

• University of Applied Sciences degree in social work
• Professional experience in the management of civil law mandates, ideally in child protection
• Experience in dealing with complex family situations and different stakeholders
• Rapid detection of complex situations, high personal responsibility and the ability to act professionally and solution-oriented even in challenging situations
• Good communication skills and negotiation skills
• interest in additional professional or organisational responsibility is beneficial
• Possibility to take over the deputy management
