Role overview
Our Group Technology Services division provides IT services and services to numerous Migros Group companies.
As a Network Engineer (f/m/d) you help to bring our networks into the Data Center incl.
To design, operate and strategically develop backbone, partner connections and cloud integrations in one of the largest IP networks in Switzerland.

- Design and further development of our data center networks based on Cisco ACI and other leading technologies
- Responsibility for the architecture and optimization of our MPLS backbone as well as its further development in terms of scalability and performance
- At least 5 years of experience: in architecture and operation of complex network infrastructures with focus on Cisco ACI, MPLS, BGP and cloud connections as well as in-depth experience in project management e.g.
- Strategic further development of network infrastructures
Main responsibilities
- Design and further development of our data center networks based on Cisco ACI and other leading technologies
- Responsibility for the architecture and optimization of our MPLS backbone as well as its further development in terms of scalability and performance
- Design and optimization of the Internet and cloud connections as well as ensuring stability and security
- Troubleshooting and operation of complex network structures with focus on BGP, MPLS and Cisco ACI
- Coordination and control of external partners and service providers in defined topic areas
- Training and support of employees of the Network Operation Center (NOC) as well as maintenance and further development of the technical documentation in Confluence
Key requirements
- At least 5 years of experience: in architecture and operation of complex network infrastructures with focus on Cisco ACI, MPLS, BGP and cloud connections as well as in-depth experience in project management e.g.
- Strategic further development of network infrastructures
- Completed vocational teaching (EFZ): in computer science incl.
- Manufacturer certificates, corresponding further training HF/FH/Uni of advantage
- Manufacturer certificates at the level CCNP/CCIE
- In-depth knowledge in troubleshooting and in the optimization of large networks
- Readiness for Pikettdienst (about 10 assignments per year) as well as occasional night and weekend assignments
