The Analytics, Reporting, Data & Platfoms division contributes to increasing the value of the Migros Group through the targeted use of data.
We use and build a modern data architecture on a state-of-the-art, cloud-based tech stack.
As a motivated data engineer, you will help us model and deploy various data sources on the Migros Analytics Data Platform.

- You create automated data pipelines (dbt, SQL, Airflow/CloudComposer), as well as continuous integration and deployment workflows for ETL processes using CI/CD
- You design and realize data models on the basis of DataVault 2.0, which represent the structure and relationships of the data from the areas of procurement and logistics
- Relevant professional experience: in the area of data engineering (SQL, dbt, BigQuery, HF): Completed studies (Uni/ETH, physics, business informatics) or a comparable training
- You have proven knowledge of common data warehouse principles and technologies (SQL, dbt, BigQuery, Terraform)
Main responsibilities
- You create automated data pipelines (dbt, SQL, Airflow/CloudComposer), as well as continuous integration and deployment workflows for ETL processes using CI/CD
- You design and realize data models on the basis of DataVault 2.0, which represent the structure and relationships of the data from the areas of procurement and logistics
- You take over the professional lead of the team, drive architecture decisions and are in close exchange with the PO
- You develop and operate scalable, recyclable data products (Data Mesh), which provide business-critical key figures within Migros You work with
Key requirements
- Relevant professional experience: in the area of data engineering (SQL, dbt, BigQuery, HF): Completed studies (Uni/ETH, physics, business informatics) or a comparable training
- You have proven knowledge of common data warehouse principles and technologies (SQL, dbt, BigQuery, Terraform)
- You have experience in the professional management of teams and good architecture knowledge
- You have solid programming knowledge in Python as well as the Shell Scripting (Bash) Skills
