For our after-school care program at Sihlweid School, we are looking for additional staff from 1 January 2027 or by agreement.

Responsibilities

Children in grades 5 and 6 are in a developmental phase in which independence, participation in decision-making and the creation of their own spaces for freedom are becoming increasingly important. You provide a clear framework for this and actively incorporate the children's interests and ideas into everyday life. You are the permanent social pedagogy specialist on site five days a week. Together with school assistants and two childcare professionals, you create a reliable, age-appropriate childcare routine. The additional hours worked during school weeks are compensated during school holidays. The exact working hours can be discussed in a personal meeting with the head of childcare.

Your responsibilities include

• You create an age-appropriate leisure and childcare routine together with the children and promote independence, participation and taking responsibility
• You bring your expertise in social pedagogy to the team and support staff with pedagogical questions
• You support children with special needs and work closely with teachers and internal and external specialists
• You establish professional cooperation with parents, taking into account different cultural, social and linguistic backgrounds
• You promote cooperation between teaching and childcare and contribute to the further development of the school as a living environment

Profile

• You have a degree in social work or social pedagogy (FH/HF), or an equivalent tertiary-level qualification in a pedagogical field
• You enjoy working with children in the 5. and 6. Class and an interest in accompanying them as they become increasingly independent
• You have an independent, structured and reliable approach to work
• You enjoy committed collaboration within the team and with teachers, parents and other specialists
• You are ready to take on pedagogical responsibility and actively help shape the school site
