In the Facility Services department of ETH Zurich, we create the optimal conditions for teaching, research and technology transfer. We maintain the buildings and ensure the energy and media supply as well as the technical and infrastructural management of all rooms used by ETH Zurich.

Job description

In this role, together with your team, you will assume responsibility for technical building management in the data center building area with around 50 properties at ETH Zurich.

• They ensure the safe, economical and trouble-free operation of the technical building installations and are responsible for planning, controlling and monitoring maintenance and repair measures.
• They coordinate internal specialists as well as external partner companies and ensure compliance with quality, safety and legal requirements
• Represented in conversions, renovations and technical renewals You take operator interests from planning to realization to commissioning and acceptance
• In addition, you drive the continuous optimization of processes, building technology and energy efficiency and ensure current and complete plant documentation with the help of the Planon CAFM system.
• They regularly take care of pikettdienst and ensure rapid and professional intervention in the event of disruptions or events.

As a manager, you promote and support two specialists in their professional and personal development and create the conditions for a successful cooperation.

Profile

• Completed basic training in building technology (HLKKSE)
• Several years of professional and managerial experience in the operation and maintenance of complex technical building systems
• Further training in facility management, maintenance or a similar specialisation at the level of professional certificate or higher
• In-depth knowledge in the operation, maintenance and optimization of technical plants
• Strong sense of responsibility as well as an independent, structured and solution-oriented working method
• High communication and team skills as well as enjoy working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Readiness for regular cooking
• Very good German and English skills
