Role overview
The Center for Paraplegia at Balgrist University Hospital in Zurich is a highly specialized clinic for the acute treatment and rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord lesions and generalized peripheral paralysis.
The care mandate covers the entire neurological treatment chain from acute neurology through early rehabilitation (including ventilation) including treatment of complications to professional rehabilitation and social reintegration.
We are looking for a role by agreement: • Responsible for the care of patients in the inpatient setting • Medical care and coordination of interdisciplinary cooperation neurologically, neuro-urologically, internally and surgically • Planning and accompanying the rehabilitative process in an interdisciplinary team Requirements: • At least one year of clinical experience in the field of neurology, internal medicine, rehabilitation medicine or psychiatry • You already have knowledge and experience in the diagnosis and therapy of specific neurological disorders clinical pictures and want to deepen these in general neurology and neurological rehabilitation • You want to take on responsibility in a specialized team of doctors in order to represent the Center for Paraplegia both clinically and scientifically and to optimally design the medical care of patients • With your social skills and empathy, you understand the needs and concerns of people with disabilities and support and coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration • Ideally, you have scientific interest and experience in research in order to further develop academically at the University of Zurich • MEBEKO recognition of your medical diploma or corresponding confirmation of receipt We offer: • You have the opportunity to work in a diverse, interprofessional setting and in an interdisciplinary field of activity at a university clinic with an excellent reputation • A challenging task awaits you in collaboration with various highly specialized teams, which are characterized by a high sense of quality and responsibility as well as flexibility • There is the opportunity to acquire the ENMG qualification in clinical neurophysiology • The place of work is in an attractive location in Zurich with very good connections to public transport
