The University Center for Prevention and Sports Medicine is the only university-based Swiss Olympic Medical Center in German-speaking Switzerland. It is a separate department within orthopedics at Balgrist University Hospital. In the outpatient sector, the University Center for Prevention and Sports Medicine is a leader in elite and popular sports in Switzerland. Around 300 people come to us every day for advice and exercise. There is close cooperation with competitive sports and a large number of sports associations/sports clubs.We are looking for a six-month maternity replacement for our secretariat as of December 1, 2026 or by agreement. If there is mutual interest, there is then the possibility of continuing the collaboration as part of a permanent position with a reduced workload. The final workload will be determined together at a later date. Tasks: • Organization of consultation hours including patient roster and appointment coordination (Monday to Friday in three different day shifts from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) • Telephone and written contact with patients, relatives, doctors, insurance companies, hospitals and clubs/associations • Outpatient service billing according to TARDOC • General secretarial work, correcting medical reports and preparing medical histories • Independent management and electronic management of the agenda • Appointment management (including physiotherapy, performance diagnostics, sports therapy and golf institutes) • Preparation for consultations (case opening, reports, billing, x-rays, laboratory results, etc.) • Organization and execution of blood samples, preparation of ACP (including ACP Max), infusions, vaccinations and wound care Requirements: • Completed training as a medical practice assistant / medical practice assistant EFZ or specialist / health specialist EFZ • Professional experience with strong medical expertise and good organizational skills • You value the contact with our patients and sports enthusiasts and are interested in sports yourself • Forward-looking, independent and efficient way of working with a strong service and customer orientation • Friendly personality with high social and team skills who is used to setting priorities and taking responsibility • In addition to fluent German, good English skills are important for communication in an intercultural environment We offer: • A varied job in a renowned sports medicine center • Work in a committed, interdisciplinary team with flat hierarchies and a high level of appreciation • Room for personal responsibility, further development and professional development • 20% discount at Balgrist Apotheke AG • At least 26 vacation days per year • Free day off for your birthday • Travel discount of 50% on the ZVV bonus pass or an annual contribution to a general subscription • Enjoy a healthy and balanced lunch at reduced prices in our company staff restaurant • Free coffee/hot drinks • Various shopping discounts Further benefits are just a click away: Attractive offers for our employees
