Full description
For the School Medical Service of the City of Zurich we are looking for 1. January 2027 or by appointment a reliable and committed personality.
Tasks
- School medical check-ups in elementary school (middle and high school, newly raised children and subsidiary in kindergarten)
- Advice and implementation of vaccinations
- Working hours, health education and promotion
- Advice and intervention in communicable diseases
- Counselling and triage in case of suspected child abuse
- Advice and instruction of schools for the integration of schoolchildren with special medical needs
- Practical activity focusing on health advice, developmental/social paediatrics and adolescent medicine
- Advising parents and teachers as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with school psychologists, pedagogical specialists, the school authority and other specialists in the school environment
Profile
- Completed medical studies and at least two years of professional experience in children’s health or specialist title in paediatric medicine, general medicine, prevention and public health or child and adolescent psychiatry (re-entryers are welcome)
- Interest in topics such as child development, social medicine, public health, multiculturality and pedagogy
- Joy of teamwork combined with initiative, high personal responsibility and the willingness to actively participate
