Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Prison and Reintegration Med. Practical assistant 80 - 100% Imprisonment and Reintegration (JuWe), as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. As part of the Zurich Prisons of Detention (UGZ), Winterthur Prison (GFW) assumes central tasks in the area of detention without judgment. The focus is on pre-trial detention and security detention as well as on the reception of persons in provisional detention. A total of 101 detention places are available for this purpose. The Main Department of the Medical Service provides basic medical and somatic care for the detained persons in all prison institutions of the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it ensures harmonized and high-quality health care according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions. Your tasks

• Organization and assistance in somatic, psychiatric and dental consultation hoursImplementation of diagnostic investigations (ECG, laboratory, etc.) and therapeutic measures (change of association, injections)
• Co-responsibility for material and drug management as well as the management of the pharmacy
• Administrative tasks such as billing and correspondence with external interfaces
• Accompaniment and support of detainees in everyday life and in crisis situations
• First intervention in medical and psychiatric emergencies
