Manufacturing Engineer (Fixed-term, 24 months, 80-100%)
Männedorf, Zurich
Your contribution
In this challenging and important role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products from development and change projects are transferred to series production on time and smoothly. You will ensure the efficient and economical sourcing and manufacturability of products, assemblies and individual parts, and provide technical support for the products assigned to you. You will also ensure the efficient handling of changes and work with our production sites and suppliers worldwide. Occasional travel (20%) is required.
Your responsibilities
- Participation in development projects from milestone M2 at the latest to represent production engineering aspects
- Planning and execution of production line validations (PLV), as well as creation of production flowcharts, FMEA and assembly instructions
- Design, creation and procurement of assembly and production aids, as well as setup of assembly workstations
- Training internal and external production personnel in production engineering matters
- Handling and documenting changes to assigned products, including error and root cause analysis
- Supporting the purchasing group with technical questions and evaluating new suppliers
Your profile

- Basic vocational training in mechanics or electronics (e.g., toolmaker, polymechanic or similar)
- Further training as an operations specialist BF/TS or HF is desirable
- At least 5 years of professional experience, at least some of it in a regulated environment
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Very good MS-Office skills, SAP knowledge is desirable
- Communicative, independent, efficient and practical approach to work
