- Design, develop, and encapsulate automation interfaces for liquid handlers and detection instruments using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python).
- Develop and support SDKs (Python, C#, Go) for programmatic access by AI, data science, and scientific users.
Main responsibilities
- Design, develop, and encapsulate automation interfaces for liquid handlers and detection instruments using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python).
- Develop and support SDKs (Python, C#, Go) for programmatic access by AI, data science, and scientific users.
- Ensure APIs and integration layers are robust, well-documented, and optimized for developer experience.
- Design translation layers between experimental workflows and Tecan’s proprietary scripting language for seamless robot motion planning.
- Work with protocol datasets and leverage large language models or code-generation models to produce reliable and safe automation scripts.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust, user-friendly solutions for laboratory automation, including building AI algorithms and features to improve product UX. Your background

- Currently pursuing or completed a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Robotics, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in Python programming.
- Comfortable working with transformer-based models (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
