• Technical and personnel management of employees in the shipping department

• including deployment, capacity and resource planning.

Shipping & Logistics

• Ensuring timely delivery of all customer orders
• Planning and controlling daily shipping activities
• Ensuring the provision of materials as needed.
• Coordination of transports at home and abroad in cooperation with order processing
• Selection and support of freight forwarders and transport service providers in collaboration with purchasing.
• Development, design and procurement of packaging solutions
• Ensuring correct shipping and export processing including SAP GTS
• Monitoring delivery dates

Processes & continuous improvement

• Analysis and optimization of existing logistics and shipping processes
• Introduction and further development of lean methods
• Definition, monitoring and further development of relevant key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Digitalization and automation of logistical processes
• Active participation and assumption of responsibility in cross-departmental projects
• Initiation and implementation of improvement and optimization measures

Quality

• Carrying out root cause analyzes and processing complaints

Your profile Education & professional experience

• Completed vocational training in the areas of logistics, production or technology
• Further training as a logistics specialist or process specialist would be an advantage

• Several years of professional experience in logistics or shipping
• In-depth experience in warehousing and shipping processes
• Experience in international shipping and exports

Expertise

• Good knowledge of supply chain management
• Experience in lean management and process optimization
• In-depth knowledge of transport and customs
• Very good user knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with SAP ERP and SAP SD is required
• Knowledge of SAP GTS, SAP MES and SAP EWM is an advantage
