Canton of Zurich Prison and Reintegration Management Health Service 80 - 100% Prison and Reintegration (JuWe), as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the execution of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The newly created Main Department of the Medical Service provides basic medical and somatic care for the detained persons in all prison institutions of the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it ensures harmonized and high-quality health care according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions. One of these institutions is the Limmattal Prison (GFL), which is located in the district building Dietikon and together with the Horgen Prison Department (GFH) offers 121 places for detained people. Prison Affoltern (GFA) is an institution specialized in the closed execution of prison sentences. We are looking for a competent leadership that actively leads and supports the health service of the three institutions – Prison Affoltern, Prison Limmattal and Prison Horgen. This is your field of action

• You lead the medical service of the three locations (affoltern, Dietikon and Horgen) in terms of personnel, expertise and organisation
• Together with your team, you ensured the high-quality somatic basic care of the detained persons
• You also support your team in everyday operations and thus stay close to the practice
• You coordinate cooperation within your team and strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation within the companies
• You work closely with internal and external partners
• Ensure administrative tasks such as documentation, reporting and information management
• You continuously develop the medical service professionally, organizationally and conceptually and actively contribute your ideas to the development of the new main department and actively shape the future orientation with your profile
• You have a Swiss-recognised diploma as a nurse and have several years of practical experience – preferably in the areas of acute care, emergency care or somatic care.
• SIMED experience is beneficial
• You have already gained leadership experience and ideally completed further training in this area
• You like to take on responsibility in a heterogeneous and intercultural context
• You enjoy shaping changes and building new structures across locations
• You are an organizational talent and have the ability to keep an overview and make informed decisions even in challenging situations.
• Strong communication skills, strategic thinking skills, high social skills, de-escalation skills and innovativeness round off your profile
• You have an impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal register and the enforcement register) Our offer
