- In this function, you will work as a senior physician in the DKG-certified Breast Center of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS) and will be responsible for the conservative and surgical care of senological patients.
- The Breast Centre is organised across all locations on an outpatient and inpatient basis in Lucerne and Sursee and, with over 300 primary cases per year, is the largest breast centre in Central Switzerland.
- Proven experience in gynecological senology, ideally with a subspecialty in breast disease.
- Knowledge of oncological, reconstructive, and plastic breast surgery procedures.
Main responsibilities
- In this function, you will work as a senior physician in the DKG-certified Breast Center of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital (LUKS) and will be responsible for the conservative and surgical care of senological patients.
- The Breast Centre is organised across all locations on an outpatient and inpatient basis in Lucerne and Sursee and, with over 300 primary cases per year, is the largest breast centre in Central Switzerland.
- They work in a highly specialized, interdisciplinary setting and actively contribute to the further development of the center.
- As a member of the medical management of the Women's Clinic LUKS Lucerne-Sursee, you will help shape the senological orientation of the clinic across all locations.
- The Women's Clinic of the LUKS Lucerne covers the entire spectrum of gynaecology and obstetrics (around 2,000 births per year).
- In addition, the Women's Clinic offers all gynaecological and obstetric specialisations (Perinatal Centre Level III, Gynaecological Oncology/HSM, Urogynaecology, Senology, gyn.
- Endocrinology/Reproductive Medicine).
- You will maintain a partnership in the existing interdisciplinary network within the LUKS Group as well as with our affiliated physicians and partner organisations in the Lucerne and Sursee catchment areas.
- A central concern of your work is the training and further education of assistant and senior physicians, especially in the field of senology.
- The Women's Clinic Lucerne is a recognised category A and Sursee category B training centre for gynaecology and obstetrics specialists. Requirements:
Key requirements
- Proven experience in gynecological senology, ideally with a subspecialty in breast disease.
- Knowledge of oncological, reconstructive, and plastic breast surgery procedures.
- Experience in oncological, plastic, and reconstructive breast surgery.
- Experience in leading a team or readiness for the next career step.
- Interest in process optimization and inter-hospital projects.
- Meeting the requirements for a work permit in the Canton of Lucerne.
- Proven experience in gynaecological senology, ideally with a specialisation in gynaecological senology.
- Recognition as a breast or senior surgeon according to DKG criteria or fulfilment of surgical requirements.
