Canton of Zurich Education Directorate Education Planning Scientific/employee 60 - 80% WE WORK AT BASIS FOR THE EDUCATION OF MORGEN. Political leaders need a regular overview of the status and development of education. Educational planning collects statistical indicators and carries out in-depth analyses in order to provide in-depth knowledge about the cantonal education system and its environment. In order to strengthen the Education Monitoring Department, we are looking for a scientific employee 60% - 80% by 1 January 2027 or by agreement. You plan and implement data analyses in the education sector together with other team members. For this purpose, you research, prepare data and communicate the results in publications and other formats in a comprehensible and target-group-oriented manner. In analytical projects, you assume conceptual, planning and organizational responsibility. You will discuss the results with decision-makers from politics and administration. Depending on your specialist focus, you will work on the Zurich Learning History Survey LEAPS and coordinate enquiries about research projects in the school field. Alternatively, your focus is on the preparation of forecasts in the field of education and the further development of our analysis infrastructure, in particular R packages. We are looking for a dedicated person with a completed university degree (Master) in a social science faculty or in data science. Ideally, bring the following:

• Very good knowledge of the Swiss education system
• Very good skills in data management, data analysis and visualization with a programming language like R or Python
• Experience in empirical social research in the educational context
• You can comprehensibly prepare and communicate scientific findings for educational administration, schools and politics
• Quick comprehension and ability to solve problems independently
• Independent and targeted working method
