Project Manager ICT Organization 80 - 100%

The Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.vd.zh.ch) includes the Office of Labor, the Office of Economy, the Office of Mobility, and administratively the Zurich Transport Association (ZVV). The General Secretariat is the staff office of the Director and the service center of the Department. The Department of Digital Transformation & Business Services, part of the General Secretariat, supports the digital transformation in the Department of Economic Affairs. It provides central services, supports the administrative units with expert knowledge, and represents the interests of the Department in cross-departmental committees.

For the implementation of a project to transform central ICT processes and structures, we are looking for an experienced project manager immediately or by agreement for a period of two years.

In this role, you will lead the project and coordinate the associated setup and structuring work. You will bring together stakeholders, create clarity, and ensure successful implementation. Additionally, you will support other ICT projects methodically and participate in the development of the ICT roadmap.

Your tasks

• Lead the implementation of the project to transform the ICT organization and the associated changes, setup, and structuring work
• Planning, controlling, and prioritizing work packages, as well as their definition and coordination with the project team
• Participation in selected work packages, preparation, and moderation of workshops
• Ensuring sustainable decisions and guaranteeing the quality, consistency, and implementability of project results
• Proactive risk, time, and stakeholder management, as well as reporting to the client
• Collaboration with responsible persons in the development and structuring of the ICT roadmap

Your profile

• Several years of experience in leading and managing complex IT, digitalization, or organizational projects
• In-depth knowledge of project management methods and experience in structuring and implementing complex projects
• Good understanding of ICT issues and their organizational contexts
• Experience in change processes and in the development and growth of organizations and structures
• Advanced moderation, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as a confident demeanor towards different stakeholder groups
• Analytical and conceptual strength, as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex issues and present them understandably
