Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Imprisonment and Reintegration Trainee: in Social Service 80% Imprisonment and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the execution of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The Zurich Prisons of Detention (UGZ) – one of eight main departments of JuWe – currently operates seven prisons for provisional arrest, pre-trial and security detention. For the Department of Social Service of the UGZ, we are looking for a committed, team-capable and responsible person in Winterthur Prison as of 01.02.2027 or by arrangement for a limited period of 6 months. Your tasks

• Resource-oriented counselling and care of incarcerated persons in various areas of life such as housing, finances and social security
• Planning and coordination in the design of residence, reintegration or transitional management, (e.g. connection to economic social assistance, placement to employment partners and external bodies, transfer to the penal and measures execution)
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with internal bodies such as medical service, supervisory and care staff, psychiatric psychology service, as well as with external bodies such as criminal investigation authorities, probation and enforcement services, social services, social insurance, KESB etc. Your profile
• Interest in criminal issues and willingness to engage with people in difficult situations and with different social and cultural backgrounds
• Strong and communicative personality
• High psychological and physical resilience
• Initial administrative experience and strong organisational skills
• You are studying social work at an FH Our offer
