The position is a 6-month internship based at our Advanced Materials Innovation Center in Basel, Switzerland.

- Role Responsibilities: As an Intern in Data Science, you will be responsible for:
- Compile and analyze experimental data from archived projects to be utilized in data science initiatives
Main responsibilities
- Role Responsibilities: As an Intern in Data Science, you will be responsible for:
- Compile and analyze experimental data from archived projects to be utilized in data science initiatives
- Build, maintain, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines that acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources into the enterprise Generative AI Platform.
- Develop, prototype, and test LLM-based architectures and agentic systems for processing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate domain-specific problems into computational solutions, such as retrieval, ranking, and reasoning, in the fields of chemistry and materials science.
- Assist in the automation of manual processes & dashboards.
- Participate in code reviews and agile development cycles.
- Document data processing scripts, data workflows and generate technical reports.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team within Huntsman Advanced Materials, reporting into the Technology Department.
