The cantonal police, with around 4,000 employees, assume responsibility for security in the canton. As the largest main department of the Zurich Cantonal Police, the Airport Police controls the Schengen external border and enforces migration law. It fights crime at the airport and protects airlines and passengers at risk. It also monitors the airport area and prevents unauthorized persons from entering the critical part.

To manage our HR consulting at the airport, we are looking for an experienced head of HR consulting, airport police 80 - 100% of your tasks

• Management and further development of HR consulting with four employees as well as active participation in operational HR consulting
• Advice and support for the approximately 1,200 employees of the cantonal police at the airport and their line managers on personnel and personnel law issues as well as support in demanding personnel situations
• Taking on the HR business partner role for the top management level on strategic and demanding HR-related issues
• Early recognition of personnel-relevant developments and risks as well as development of viable solutions together with managers
• Ensuring forward-looking and timely information to higher-level HR management about important personnel issues and developments
• Participation in management and specialist reports, representation of the HR perspective and active participation in leadership and decision-making processes
• Further development of HR consulting and promotion of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Close collaboration with recruiting, HR services and payroll and ensuring professional collaboration at the interfaces of your profile
• Tertiary level qualification, ideally as an HR specialist with a federal certificate or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional and management experience in a comparable position in public administration or in an organization in which the Human Resources Act of the Canton of Zurich and the regulations apply (an advantage).
• Service-oriented and able to understand the needs of different stakeholders in a differentiated manner and develop profitable solutions from them
• Experience in project management an advantage
• Resilient, secretive personality with assertiveness and high social skills
