The Vocational School Winterthur is a lively place of work and learning with around 3800 learners and over 200 teachers. In order for our learners and employees to feel comfortable in our five school buildings and for school operations to function smoothly, we need people who tackle, think and keep an overview. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality as caretaker with federal law as of 01.02.2027. Housekeeper / in your task – versatile, responsible and in the middle of school operations As part of our team, you make a significant contribution to ensuring that our buildings and facilities are safe, functional and well maintained at all times. They undertake a wide range of maintenance and value preservation work in our five school buildings as well as outdoors and together with the team ensure daily operational operations. You are not only responsible for professional building maintenance, but also take over control, maintenance and inspection work, take care of professional disposal, warehouse management and support various internal services. We can also count on you in special situations: you provide winter service, pay attention to accident prevention, safety and first aid. Another important part of your work is the support and promotion of learners as practical trainers. You are happy to pass on your expertise and thus contribute to the training of the next generation of professionals. As a committed and responsible person, you also support the company management and take over their deputies if necessary. The readiness for early and late services as well as for cooking services (night, weekend and public holidays) is also part of this varied function. You have completed vocational training as a specialist company maintenance EFZ or a craft or technical apprenticeship with EFZ. Ideally, you have the Swiss Federal Professional Card as a housekeeper or are ready to purchase it within the next two years. In addition, you bring the training as a vocational trainer and the qualification as a safety officer for fire protection (GVZ SiBe). An emergency assistance training including resuscitation course as well as the driving license of category B are required. For this responsible task, you have at least three years of professional and managerial experience. Experience in a school is an advantage. You personally convince through your reliable, independent and careful working method. They like to tackle, work precisely and quickly and keep an overview even in hectic situations. At the same time, you are helpful, communicative, capable of teamwork and flexible. They enjoy developing themselves and are ready to follow suit.
