As a team leader for indirect purchasing, you play a key role in our international procurement team. You combine strategic foresight with operational hands-on mentality, lead a dedicated team and continuously develop Belimo’s indirect purchasing.

This is not about reinventing everything. Much is already working very well – your task is to understand what already exists, develop it further and take the next steps together with your team.

Main responsibilities • You lead and develop a team of currently four employees and strengthen an open, performance-oriented and collegial team culture. • As an approachable leader, you communicate proactively, are close to your employees and live “Lead by Example” – with clarity, reliability and a good dose of serenity. • You will develop and successfully implement global procurement and commodity group strategies for indirect materials and services. • In doing so, you identify savings and optimization potential and realize sustainable cost savings and cost avoidance. • In challenging international price, contract and framework contract negotiations, you act confidently and represent the interests of the company with negotiating skills and assertiveness. • You develop strategic suppliers further, control their performance and ensure quality, delivery reliability, service and compliance. • In addition, you lead global procurement, transformation and digitalization projects and work closely with finance, HR, IT, operations, legal and other specialist areas. • Together with relevant stakeholders, you will continuously develop processes and standards in indirect purchasing, analyze procurement and supplier risks and drive sustainable solutions in global procurement.

Required expertise • Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally with a strong focus in indirect purchasing. • Leadership experience in a management function as well as pleasure in developing, promoting and inspiring employees for common goals. • Demonstrable successes in indirect purchasing, for example in the realization of savings, the implementation of tenders, demanding negotiations, in supplier management or in the development and implementation of global purchasing strategies. • Ideally, additional experience in direct purchasing as well as a good understanding of the connections along the entire supply chain. • Strong negotiating strength and assertiveness, coupled with the ability to remain objective even in challenging situations and to deal constructively with different positions and conflicts. • A proactive and communication-strong personality who lives close to employees and stakeholders and convinces through a solution-oriented, binding and pragmatic way. • Very good knowledge of German and English in words and writing as well as security in cooperation in an international environment. • Completed studies, for example in business administration, supply chain management, industrial engineering, technology, finance, IT or a comparable discipline, combined with the willingness to travel internationally by about 10%.
