• Caritas Zurich is an independent Catholic aid organization. We work for families and disadvantaged people affected by poverty, regardless of nationality or worldview. In this way, we make a significant contribution to their social integration in the Canton of Zurich. Project management «WohnFit – contact point for housing» 80% The “WohnFit” project offers support for people affected by poverty in the search for housing. The aim of the offer is to contribute to equal opportunities on the Zurich housing market. In the low-threshold contact points, volunteers develop search strategies with the target group, develop application documents and ensure access to digital devices and skills. Specialists advise in precarious housing situations. In the “WohnFit” project, practical knowledge is used specifically to achieve improvements at the structural level for people affected by poverty in the housing sector. As a result of a change of staff, we are looking for 1. October 2026 or by agreement a dedicated project management (80%). Their tasks
• Responsibility for the operational implementation of the “WohnFit” project
• Recruitment, training and support of volunteers
• Information, triage and technical advice for people affected by poverty
• Design, implementation and development of focal points
• Public Work, Advocacy and Political Lobbying at the Housing and Poverty Interface
• Co-operation in raising funds
• Responsibility for results and budget
• Project documentation, evaluation and controlling
• Management of an employee They have in-depth knowledge of the Zurich housing market and are interested in housing policy and social urban development. You also bring the following:
• University degree in social work, social sciences or a comparable discipline with a focus on social area
• Experience in project and volunteer management, ideally also in personnel management
• Enjoyment in the advice of housing seekers as well as in the organization and coordination of the contact points
• Readiness for a regular evening assignment (each Monday)
• Serenity and flexibility in dynamic situations
• Safe occurrence and pronounced ability to convey complex issues in a target group-oriented manner
• Stylistic German in word and writing
• Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
