The railway moves us – and we move the railway logistics of tomorrow.
Planzer already transports more than 60% of its shipments by rail and handles around 90,000 railway shipments annually in the CDS network.
From 2027, we will fundamentally redesign our railway network: a new transport network will be created at more than 20 stations throughout Switzerland.

Main responsibilities
- You will take over the overall project management for the conception, planning and implementation of the new Swiss-wide rail transport network until the go-live at the beginning of 2029 and beyond.
- Develop network and train concept: Together with our transport and logistics experts, you can plan train runs, timetables, capacities and production concepts for more than 20 stations with more than 30 CDS stations.
- You optimize the future railway network in terms of quality, cost, stability and scalability and coordinate the necessary path orders.
- Design operating concepts: Together with the locations, you develop shunting, handling and operating concepts – from the arrival of the train to the departure.
- You coordinate the requirements of our CDS companies, RUs, infrastructure partners and other stakeholders and bring them together to form an all-Swiss operating concept.
- From concept to go-live: You control implementation, migration, deadlines, costs, risks and project progress and ensure the coordination of railway production, road transport, IT and operational processes. Profile:
- You bring several years of experience in rail freight transport, railway operations, railway production or railway network planning.
- You know the Swiss railway landscape well and ideally have experience in cooperation with infrastructure operators and railway companies.
- You have in-depth knowledge in path and scheduling, shunting processes, sidings, terminals or production concepts in rail freight transport.
- Leading challenging projects is important to you: You have experience managing cross-divisional and cross-company projects and bring different interests to a common result.
