At the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich, you can expect the entire spectrum of modern forensic medicine – from clinical-forensic examinations of living persons to legal inspections, to autopsies and state-of-the-art forensic imaging. Tasks

Depending on your experience and function, you assume responsibility in different areas. Specialist: doctor They handle forensic medical cases on their own responsibility and have the opportunity to gradually develop into a senior medical function.

Their tasks include

• Independent processing of legal cases
• Carrying out autopsies, legal inspections and clinical forensic examinations of living persons
• Cooperation in forensic on-call service
• Gradual assumption of supervision of assistant doctors:innen
• Participation in teaching and research

Senior doctor: doctor You also assume responsibility for the professional and organizational development of our department.

• Professional and personnel management and supervision of assistant doctors: inside
• Responsibility for an own professional focus and its further development
• Co-shaping the strategic development of our department
• Active participation in university teaching, research and interdisciplinary projects

Profile

As a specialist: doctor

• Specialist title Legal medicine
• Joy of self-responsible case handling
• Interest in university medicine as well as in research and teaching
• Motivation to take on responsibility and develop professionally and personally
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing
• Category B driving licence

As a senior doctor: doctor

In addition, bring with you

• Several years of professional experience in forensic medicine
• Designated expertise in one or more specialised areas
• Experience in leadership, supervision and further training of assistant doctors: inside
• Enjoyment in promoting employees and actively developing forensic medicine
