Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Prison and Reintegration Dipl. HF 80 - 100% Imprisonment and Reintegration (JuWe), as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the implementation of the various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The Medical Service is one of eight main departments of JuWe and as a central organization responsible for the medical-somatic basic care of all detained persons in the institutions of the Canton of Zurich. It ensures medical care from initial examination and treatment to emergency care and accompanies the detained people in everyday life with health issues. As part of the Zurich Detention Centers (UGZ), Zurich Prison is the largest detention center in the Canton of Zurich with 135 detention places. It plays a central role in the reception and internal distribution of detainees. For our medical service, we are looking for a committed and dynamic personality for a limited period of one year, either immediately or by agreement. This is your area of activity

• Accompanying and supporting prisoners in everyday life and in crisis situations
• First intervention in medical and psychiatric emergencies
• Organization and cooperation in somatic, psychiatric and dental consultation hours
• Co-design and development of the department by contributing your professional and social skills
• Contact point for medical issues and emergencies as well as for the training of employees in health-related matters
• Co-responsibility for material and drug management as well as the management of the pharmacy
• Administrative work such as billing and correspondence with external interfaces
• Take over early services from Monday-Friday in the health service to ensure continuous care. Weekend and holiday services are divided in the team and fall every four to five weeks.
• Completed training as a Dipl. Care professional HF/FH
• Interested in caring for and caring for detainees of different origins and nationalities
• Flexibility, personal responsibility and a high degree of social competence
• The interest in continuously getting involved in other aspects of health care
• Very good oral and written German skills, every other language is an advantage
• Your life experience is a valuable asset: a minimum age of 25 rounds your profile
