- The Medical Service is one of eight main departments of JuWe and as a central organization responsible for the medical-somatic basic care of all detained persons in the institutions of the Canton of Zurich.
- It ensures medical care from initial examination and treatment to emergency care and accompanies the detained people in everyday life with health issues.
- As part of the Zurich prisons (VEZ), the prison in Affoltern am Albis (GFA) carries out prison sentences and remaining sentences of up to 18 months and has 65 detention places.
- With a reintegration-oriented approach, group enforcement, basic education and work opportunities, detainees are prepared for re-entry into society.

- You are the professional and therefore responsible for initial intervention in medical and psychiatric emergencies, admission checks and ensuring basic medical care incl. Medication management of detainees
- Administrative work such as billing and correspondence with internal and external interfaces
- You support the doctor visits and maintain lively contact with various external bodies
- You work closely with our supervisors and train them for emergencies and health-related concerns
- Co-creation and development of the medical hat department by contributing your specialist and social competence and participation in working and project groups also across locations You bring that with you
