Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Prison and Reintegration Prison Pöschwies Service Dog Guide 80 - 100% With around 1,400 employees, Prison and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as for the execution of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of delinquents and work effectively and progressively for a safe and fair society. The Pöschwies Prison (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. With around 400 detention places, it is the largest closed prison in Switzerland for men who have committed crimes. It fulfils a central state task and contributes to the protection of the general public in accordance with the legal mandate and at the same time creates the conditions for the rehabilitation of detained persons. In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed, responsible and resilient personality who, together with her service dog, makes an important contribution to safety within the JVA Pöschwies. Your field of activity

• Together with your service dog you ensure safety and order on the entire area of the JVA Pöschwies and thus make an important contribution to a smooth and safe institution operation.
• With prudence and professionalism, you will support interventions as well as prisoner transports and help to ensure safe implementation in challenging situations.
• You take control of inbound and outbound traffic, including vehicles and chauffeurs, ensuring compliance with safety standards
• In close cooperation with various departments, you support the headquarters as well as other work areas within the department and the entire institution You bring that with you
• Completed vocational apprenticeship with a Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ), a (specialised) Maturity, a specialised secondary school card or equivalent qualification
• Ideally, professional experience in the fields of justice, customs, police or army
• Self-employed, committed and responsible work as well as high mental and physical resilience
• Experience in service dogs as well as sniffing dogs, an own protective dog
• Flexibility for changing working hours and readiness for shift work, including weekend, night and public holiday assignments
• Very good oral and written knowledge of German, further language skills of advantage, as well as safe handling of the Microsoft Office range
• Minimum age of 25 years and a good repute (no entries in the penal and enforcement register) The special thing at this point
