Canton of Zurich Education Directorate Office for Youth and Vocational Counselling Intern/in maternal and father counselling 100% The Office for Youth and Vocational Counselling of the Education Directorate provides, appoints, controls and coordinates offers of child and youth welfare and vocational counselling. The kjz Winterthur (Children and Youth Assistance Centre) is a polyvalent counselling centre for families, parents, adolescents, children and toddlers and works on the basis of the Children and Youth Assistance Act of the Canton of Zurich. The maternity and father counselling in kjz Winterthur offers a student of a Swiss university of applied sciences, studying midwife, a training place for 10 weeks as of September 27 (KW38). What do we offer? As part of the internship, you will get insight into the following activities:

• Advising parents with infants and young children on matters of physical and mental health (care, breastfeeding, nutrition, development, education and social matters)
• Recognition of abnormalities or Delays in physical and psychological development and support for parents in the right approach The consultations take place in the various advisory centres of the city and the district of Winterthur. During the course of the internship, you will take on various activities such as:
• First telephone contact
• Administrative activities
• Short consultations accompanied What do you bring?

• You have a great interest in the topics of early childhood and would like to deepen your expertise
• You want to expand your consulting skills
• You are interested in getting to know social institutions outside the hospital and networking
