Role overview
Conceptually control and operationally guarantee the holistic readiness for use, resilience and integrity of the Swiss Air Force’s airspace surveillance and operational control systems consisting of radar air attitude system, air intelligence system and the Military and Civil Airspace Management System Responsible for the personnel and professional co-management as well as the further development of interdisciplinary teams and specialists, taking into account demographic change, effective generation management and the sustainable preservation of knowledge in a technologically highly complex and safety-critical environment Responsible for the further development and overall optimization of the system landscape on the basis of scientific analysis and optimization methods with focus on availability, maintainability, efficiency, expandability and proportionality Ensure the interoperability of complex, heterogeneous networking of systems in a national and international context as well as maintain and promote the establishment and strengthening of partnership networks between the actors involved Support and help shape the conceptual planning, risk-based management and operational introduction and transformation of replacement and successor systems
University or technical college degree at master level in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or computer science
Further education and in-depth experience in the field of air traffic control and the system cluster communication navigation surveillance

- Further education and in-depth experience in the field of air traffic control and the system cluster communication navigation surveillance
- Further education in business administration (minimum CAS, preferably MAS)
- Proven experience in leading and developing interdisciplinary teams in complex and cross-organisational environments
- Proven experience to replace highly available and complex ICT systems
- Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and very good knowledge of English and passive knowledge of a third official language
