Support night and weekend Asylum center (80-100%) temporary, Kollbrunn

Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centres at various locations in the canton of Zurich since March 2024 on a cantonal mission. The centre is located in a rural environment directly at the station of Kollbrunn and accommodates a maximum of 130 families and individuals. For the care of refugees at night and especially at weekends, we are looking for reinforcements of our team.

Your tasks

• introduction, guidance and support of residents in topics such as nutrition, hygiene, order and cleanliness
• co-responsibility for creating a good house atmosphere
• co-responsibility for keeping the house order and safety in the centre
• preparation of reports and information transfer internally and externally
• implementation of cleaning and hygiene concepts
• regular tours and presence
• participation in employment and animation
• participation in monthly team meetings
• use of shift work with sole responsibility
• regular participation in early, late and late-

and weekend services – ready to be deployed 365 days a year according to operational planning.

• Completed training
• Experience in migration and/or youth work desirable
• Good knowledge of the German language and good oral knowledge in English, further knowledge of foreign languages of advantage
• Good computer user knowledge (MS-Office)
• High resilience and resilience and conflict management competence
• Flexibility, resilience and assertiveness
• Self-initiative, independence and high level of work organisation
• Willingness to provide time-changing work services
• High awareness of responsibility and duty
