Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Prison and reintegration Prison Pöschwies supervisor, temporary 80 - 100% With around 1400 employees, JuWe is the largest office within the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs and responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as for the execution of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of delinquents and work effectively and progressively for a safe and just society. The Pöschwies Prison (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe and the largest closed facility for men in Switzerland. With around 400 detention places and around 300 employees, it contributes to the protection of the general public in accordance with its legal mandate and at the same time creates the conditions for the rehabilitation of the detained persons. In order to strengthen our integration group (IG), we are looking for personalities engaged immediately or by agreement as supervisors. The posts shall be limited in time until 31 December 2032. This is your field of action

• Care, employment and accompaniment of the detained people in everyday life – you are a reliable contact person
• You ensure an orderly daily routine as well as the consistent implementation of the safety and service regulations
• In leisure and group activities, you actively participate and promote a structured and meaningful day organisation
• Administrative tasks such as reports and the documentation of important events you do carefully and reliably
• You have a completed vocational apprenticeship (EFZ), a (specialised) maturity, a specialised secondary school card or an equivalent degree
• Dealing with people is yours. Experience with mentally ill people is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing as well as other language skills are a plus
• When dealing with MS Office you feel safe
• Even in demanding situations, you remain resilient, calm and able to act
• Shift, Picette and Weekend Services Are Good for You
• You are at least 25 years old and have an impeccable reputation (punitive and enforcement register without entries) This is what we offer you
