Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Correctional Services and Reintegration Pöschwies Correctional Facility Supervisor / Supervisor 80 - 100% With around 1,400 employees, Corrections and Reintegration (JuWe) is the largest office within the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs and is responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as for the implementation of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of people who have committed crimes and work effectively and progressively to ensure a safe and fair society. The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe and the largest closed facility for men in Switzerland. With around 400 prison places, it contributes to the protection of the general public in accordance with its legal mandate and at the same time creates the conditions for the rehabilitation of the imprisoned people. For our normal prison system (NV), we are looking for a committed individual as a supervisor / supervisor immediately or by appointment. This is your field of activity

• You accompany and look after incarcerated people in a structured daily routine, assist them as a contact person if they have any concerns and actively help shape everyday prison life
• Ensuring a safe and orderly daily routine is just as much a part of your tasks as consistently adhering to and enforcing safety and service regulations.

You recognize critical situations early on and act confidently even in challenging moments

• You are present in leisure and group activities, promote respectful interaction and contribute to positive and orderly cooperation
• Administrative tasks such as writing reports and carefully documenting events are also part of your varied everyday work
• As an active member of the company fire department, you also make an important contribution to safety within the correctional facility. This is what you bring with you
• A completed vocational apprenticeship with a federal certificate. Certificate of proficiency, (technical) baccalaureate, technical secondary school certificate or an equivalent qualification
• Ideally, you already have experience in a comparable care position
• Very good oral and written knowledge of German and ideally knowledge of another language
• Confident use of common MS Office applications
• A stable, resilient personality with high physical and mental resilience as well as strong social skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, on-call and weekend shifts
• An impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal or debt collection register) and a minimum age of 25 years Our offer
