With around 1400 employees, JuWe is the largest office within the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs and is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as for the execution of various types of detention. Our employees from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of delinquents and work effectively and progressively for a safe and just society. The Zurich Enforcement Institutions (VEZ) are one of eight main departments of JuWe. They comprise four companies with a total of 314 penalties and around 230 employees. Persons detained in the VEZ are in closed and open prison, in half-detention and in administrative detention under alien law. The VEZs ensure the accommodation, care and employment of the admitted persons and thus contribute to the prevention of recidivism and public security. The prison Affoltern am Albis with 65 penalties and around 35 employees specializes in the execution of sentences or remaining sentences of no more than 18 months. In addition to the concept of group enforcement, which aims to increase the personal responsibility of the inmates, a step-appropriate school education (BiSt) is offered. • You look after, employ and accompany the most instructed persons within the daily structures and act as contact person for requests
• You ensure an orderly daily routine, ensure compliance with and enforcement of safety and service regulations and understand how to identify and manage critical situations

• You can demonstrate a completed vocational apprenticeship EFZ and are ready to attend further training such as SKJV basic training as a prison specialist
