Tasks
- How could you describe your job in one sentence? Full drive ahead in the service of Zurich. We move the city – and you have a significant part in it.
- You independently carry out service and manoeuvres with all tram vehicles. An extraordinary job – even without passengers, you have a great responsibility on the track. This is why we do not make the choice easy: During the application process, you will go through two driving aptitude diagnostic tests and a trusted medical examination to test your tram piloting skills.
- In addition to the maneuvers, you also take care of the well-being of all types of trams – including vintage cars – by performing maintenance tasks such as grease, cleaning and oil changes. You also help with repairs and accompanying maintenance work on company-owned plants such as large washing plants and sanding plants.
- All tasks are carried out alternately after an annual planning. This means that you already know how you will work in 12 months and can plan your private life accordingly. So you can expect an exciting, versatile task around the clock, which offers you deep insights into the operational processes.

Profile
- Successfully completed training as an automatic installer or polymechanic
- Cat. B driving licence for passenger cars (and a corresponding vehicle to travel for irregular working hours).
- Willingness to work flexibly in terms of location and time.
- Independent working methods as well as customer and team orientation.
- Readiness for irregular working hours (4-shift operation, also on weekends and public holidays).

However, this requires some tests after a successful examination of the application dossier and in advance of the interview.
