- The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship and Chair of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
- The professor will be appointed as head of the Department of Gastroenterology of Hepatology of the University Hospital Zurich and represents the subject in research, clinical care, and teaching.
- We are seeking a dynamic, integrative, and collaborative individual with extensive clinical and scientific experience in gastroenterology or hepatology.
- A habilitation or an equivalent academic qualification, as well as board certification in gastroenterology (FMH), or an equivalent international qualification, are required.
- As the future head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, we expect the successful candidate to possess a successful leadership track record as head or deputy head of a clinical unit at a university hospital.
- In addition, you have a strong track record as a research group leader, you have secured competitive third-party funds, and contributed to student teaching, supervision of academic theses, and the promotion of early-career researchers.
- We are looking for a participative and integrative leader with proven experience in fostering collaborative, interdisciplinary teamwork.
