Architect:in / Project Manager:in planning (m/w/d) 100%, Zurich, limited print Print ETH Zurich is launching a pioneering research project with a direct connection to building practice with the "Living Lab HIL".The HIL building on the Hönggerberg Campus is becoming a real laboratory.The construction that needs to be rehabilitated is being rebuilt and expanded.In the coming years, professors from the Departments of Architecture (D-ARCH) as well as the Construction, Environment and Geomatics (D-BAUG) will be researching and planning the renovation of the HIL building in the sense of circular construction.

For the planning team of the Living Lab HIL, we are looking for a leader-experienced and profiled person who takes over the strategic and operational control of the entire planning phase and supports the overall project management.

In this key function, you control the complex processes with the overall bar and ensure that the project goals are successfully achieved.

Main responsibilities

  • Job Description In this project-related role you will take on the following tasks and responsibilities:
  • Project management Planning: Overall responsibility for the operational control, monitoring and coordination of all planning phases of the construction project Living Lab HIL.
  • Overall provider communication: Lead management, negotiation management and structured exchange with the external overall provider and the specialist planners.
  • Interface management: Central coordination between ETH Real Estate, the overall provider, the team of teaching and research integration and the planning team.
  • Participation Management: Close cooperation with the management, taking on operational management tasks and representing project interests in strategic committees.
  • Risk and quality management: Ensuring the overall project goals in terms of deadlines, costs, sustainability targets and qualities in the complex context of research and construction practice.
  • The position is limited to a maximum of five years, initially with a one-year contract with extension options.
  • Profile To meet the requirements of this demanding position ideally, you have the following profile:
  • Education: Master's degree in architecture (ETH/FH or comparable).
  • Professional experience: Well-founded, long-standing experience in project management and overall control of complex large-scale construction projects in Switzerland.
