As a secretary, you assist one or more health professionals, in particular medical officers or chiefs of clinics or assistant and assistant doctors for the management and administrative organisation of their activities, in the clinical, academic and research fields, by ensuring the interface between the various professional fields.

- While responding to the various parallel requests, you carry out administrative activities related to your function, such as the management of physician schedules (VRH), the administrative management of private or faculty funds, the organization of medical profession congresses and symposia, the administrative support for service managers' projects, and the monitoring of the budget allocated to service and research.
- Depending on the activity, you prepare patient files and after consultations, you independently follow up the consultations.
- If necessary, you will schedule additional medical examinations.
- Thanks to your relationship ease, you welcome, inform and orient the patient at the unit and manage incoming phone calls.
- Your role involves rigorous management of priorities, an organization that allows anticipation and an ability to respond effectively to diverse demands.
- You are pro-active in carrying out the logistical tasks resulting from the life of a secretariat such as orders, recruitment, reimbursement or training requests.
- In a perfect team spirit and collaboration, you work in coordination with the secretariat of the service as well as the doctor-cheffe of service and you replace them as necessary to ensure continuity of service.
