Role overview

Mission Support the Vice-President for Support for Strategic Initiatives (VPS) in the development and management of strategic partnerships that strengthen the national and international positioning of EPFL.

At the interface between the academic world, the health system, public authorities, philanthropy and industry, you contribute to structuring collaborations with strong scientific and societal impact.

You act as a trusted and strategic thinking partner, identifying opportunities, analyzing issues and structuring decisions.

Main responsibilities

  • Main tasks and responsibilities Strategic advice and reflection partnership
  • Support the Vice-President as a sparring partner on strategic issues.
  • Analyze complex situations and formulate concrete recommendations.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide new perspectives.
  • Development and deployment of strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to the design and deployment of multi-partner initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Structure governance, roadmaps and implementation.
  • Facilitate alignment between partners and contribute to the resolution of emerging challenges.
  • Executive support and institutional positioning

Company and context

  • The position places particular emphasis on managing interfaces with partner organizations, ecosystem development and multi-institutional collaborations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several strategic files simultaneously.
  • Great autonomy, diplomacy, discretion and political sense.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify opportunities and advance projects. Excellent command of French and English;
  • German is an asset.
