Full description
As a social worker in a Regional Office for the Protection of Minors (ORPM), you assess the living conditions of minors and propose appropriate accompanying measures. Depending on the situation, you seek and inform the judicial authorities of the child's protection. Your mission is in concrete terms part of the protection of minors at risk in their development. In order to contribute to the important task of protecting minors and to respond to the growth of the mandates entrusted to the Directorate-General for Children and Youth, we are currently looking for several social assistants for the protection of minors (ASPM) in order to complement the teams of our various offices. - To carry out the protection mission, by assessing the living conditions of minors and proposing appropriate accompanying measures, with reference to some 60 socio-educational interventions, for minors and their families.
- To participate in the organization of the Regional Office for the Protection of Minors (guard, colloquium, co-operation in duet for certain situations, working group, etc.) and in meetings organised by the department (plenary, working group, etc.).
- Comparing to court hearings as an expert.
- Maintain and develop its skills continuously, according to the requirements set by the service and according to its personal needs validated by the hierarchy. - Holder of a Bachelor's degree from a recognized social school of type HES (social work line) or university degree (Bachelor or Master's degree), deemed useful for the exercise of the job;
- SEFRI recognition required for foreign degrees;
- Good knowledge in the field of child development and family issues, as well as legal knowledge in the field of family law;
- Ability to conduct difficult interviews, and management of conflict relations in particular in the context of forced aid;
- Adaptability, flexibility and stress management;
- High-level analytical, synthesis and editorial capacity;
- Knowledge of the voodoo network in connection with the protection of minors, of the decision-making system, of the assessment tools for the protection of minors and of the organisation and legal standards;
- Driver's licence category B required and use of the private vehicle provided for in the activity. Disclosure of any criminal history is required for this position. A private vehicle allowance is paid monthly. Participation rates and places of work to be entered on the cover letter .
