Neurologist - Medical epileptology service (M/F), 50% to 100% Deployed at several sites, the Lavigny Institution consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations on two sites, a housing department for adults with disabilities, intellectual or physical disabilities, a specialised school and a workshop and vocational training sector.
Our Epileptology Medical Service is looking for
Neurologist - Medical Epileptology Service (M/F)
Do you want to put your expertise in neurology at the service of patients with complex medical needs, while evolving in an interdisciplinary environment and contributing to the training of healthcare professionals? You will be actively involved in the management of outpatients and inpatients, the interpretation of EEG examinations and the development of quality of care, in close collaboration with medical and healthcare teams.
Your missions Medical care and clinical expertise
- Independently monitor and manage outpatients of the Medical Service of Epileptology
- Interpret electroencephalograms (EGEs) performed in outpatient and inpatient patients
- Participate in the management of in-patient patients, in collaboration with the chief doctor of epileptology
- Ensure quality, safety and continuity of care
- Ensure strict transmission of medical information in accordance with institutional directives and legal requirements.
- Contribute to risk management by reporting incidents and deviations from existing procedures
Education and training
- Participate in the supervision and training of medical trainees, particularly in the fields of neurology and epileptology
- Contribute to the teaching activities of the service and, as appropriate, provide specific courses, including on epilepsy
- Maintain and develop your professional skills, providing your continuing medical training in accordance with FMH requirements
- Contributing to the continuous training of employees and updating their knowledge
Interdisciplinary collaboration and service development
- Work closely with the University Neurorehabilitation Service and other professionals involved in patient care
- Develop exchanges with external medical partners, including neurology services and neuroscience departments of university and regional hospitals
- Participate in the organization and continuous improvement of service, ensuring quality, efficiency and relevance of benefits
- Take part in the organisation and supervision of the picket service, in collaboration with the chief doctors concerned
Your profile
- You have a doctor's degree and post-graduate training in neurology, with an FMH or equivalent qualification
- You have a certificate of competence in clinical neurophysiology (EEG)
- You are granted permission to practise in the canton of Vaud or meet the conditions for an application
- You have strong clinical and diagnostic skills, especially in the interpretation of EEGs
- You appreciate the multi-disciplinary team work and know how to collaborate with people from different specialties
- You demonstrate autonomy, rigour, a strong sense of responsibility and a constant commitment to quality of care
