Job Description

As Global Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will lead the end‑to‑end production, integrity and continuous enhancement of prudential regulatory returns for EFG’s Swiss entity and its international network of booking centres. Operating within the CFO function, you will act as a senior subject‑matter expert on capital adequacy, liquidity and statistical reporting, ensuring complete, accurate and timely submissions across multiple jurisdictions.

You will work autonomously across the full regulatory reporting lifecycle, from interpretation of complex rules and data requirements, through design of robust processes and controls, to delivery of high‑quality reports to regulators. In close collaboration with Finance, Risk, Treasury, IT and local CFO teams, you will shape sustainable reporting solutions, drive automation and support the bank’s regulatory change agenda, with decisions that influence EFG’s regulatory risk profile over the medium term.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting Production and Ownership

  • Lead the end‑to‑end production of Swiss and international prudential regulatory returns (e.g. capital adequacy, LCR, NSFR, large exposures, COREP and statistical reports), ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission across all in‑scope entities.
  • Define and manage the operational reporting calendar, including resource planning and sequencing of monthly, quarterly and annual submissions across different time zones.
  • Establish, document and maintain audit‑ready reporting processes, controls and reconciliations that support operational excellence and a high level of data integrity.

Regulatory Interpretation and Complex Analysis

  • Interpret and apply relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. Basel III, FINMA Ordinances and Circulars, CRR/CRD and other European, Asian and offshore prudential regimes) to define clear reporting requirements and data rules.
  • Perform advanced analyses on capital and liquidity metrics, explaining key movements, trends and sensitivities to senior stakeholders in Finance, Risk and Treasury.
  • Design pragmatic solutions for non‑standard transactions and data gaps, balancing regulatory expectations, operational feasibility and long‑term sustainability.

Change Management, Projects and Automation

  • Monitor regulatory developments across all jurisdictions in scope and assess their impact on reporting architecture, data models and processes.
  • Act as business owner or functional lead for regulatory and IT change initiatives, defining business requirements, test cases and acceptance criteria for new or enhanced reporting tools.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives (e.g. enhancements to reporting systems and control dashboards) to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort and strengthen control.

Advisory, Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Advise Finance, Risk, Treasury and Front Office on the regulatory implications of new products, transactions and structural balance sheet changes.
  • Represent Regulatory Reporting in cross‑functional working groups, ensuring regulatory requirements are embedded in upstream processes and systems.
  • Build strong relationships with local CFOs and finance teams across the Group, promoting consistent standards and fostering a culture of accountability for data quality.

Leadership, Coaching and Best Practice

  • Provide expert guidance, coaching and review to junior team members, promoting best practice in regulatory interpretation, documentation and stakeholder communication.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Regulatory Reporting function by sharing knowledge, standardising methodologies and supporting the development of internal expertise.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Professional Background

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification and/or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA, FRM or equivalent) is a strong asset.
  • Typically 8–12 years of experience in private banking or financial services, with a focus on Regulatory Reporting, Financial Accounting, Risk or Audit.
  • Proven experience working with Swiss prudential regulation and exposure to at least one other international regime (e.g. European, Asian or offshore centres).

Technical and Functional Expertise

  • Deep understanding of prudential regulatory frameworks relevant to EFG (e.g. Basel III, FINMA Ordinances and Circulars, CRR/CRD‑based European frameworks, and Basel‑derived regimes in Asia and offshore centres).
  • Strong grasp of how regulatory requirements translate into data structures, systems architecture and reporting processes.
  • Solid knowledge of related functions (Risk, Treasury, Accounting, Private Banking) and their interdependencies, with the ability to integrate perspectives when designing reporting solutions.
  • High proficiency in Excel and regulatory reporting tools; experience working with large data sets and complex reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with data querying and visualisation tools is an advantage, as is experience in building analytical and control dashboards.

Languages

  • English: full professional proficiency (spoken and written), as the main working language across the Group.
  • French: fluency is a strong asset for interaction with local stakeholders in Geneva and with French‑regulated entities; other languages are an advantage.

Behavioural Skills and Working Style

  • Strong sense of accountability, with the ability to work autonomously on complex deliverables and take ownership of the integrity and timeliness of regulatory submissions.
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset, able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple reporting cycles and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex regulatory and technical topics clearly to both specialist and non‑specialist audiences.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and negotiate with stakeholders across cultures, functions and time zones.
  • Future‑oriented and comfortable with change, with a keen interest in regulatory developments, digitalisation and process automation.

Our Values
· Accountability: Taking ownership for tasks and challenges, as well as seeking continuous improvement
· Hands-on: Being proactive to rapidly deliver high-quality results
· Passionate: Being committed and striving for excellence
· Solution-driven: Focusing on client outcomes and treating clients fairly with a risk-aware mindset
