- The learning takes place over 4 years and leads to the Federal Certificate of SWC Capacity.
- Theoretical training:
- Courses are given at the Vocational Technical and Trades School (EPTM) in Sion for one or two days a week.
- Practical training:
The first 2 years of your apprenticeship will take place at the workshop\-school of the Intercantonal Vocational School of Chemistry (EPIC) in Monthey. The last 2 years will take place at CIMO under the responsibility of a trainer.
- The inter-company courses (CIE) take place at the Vocational Technical and Trades School (EPTM) in Sion.
- The trade
- After the first 2 years at the EPIC workshop where you will have become familiar with the basics of the trade, you will integrate one of the sectors of the CIMO Mechanical Workshop.
- As part of your apprenticeship, you will be asked to discover different areas of competence such as assembly, machining and pumps.
- Your job will be to repair, revise, control and monitor industrial equipment.
