The place of work of this office is in Visp, Switzerland.

MINTworld is a joint initiative of Lonza AG in Visp and the Canton of Wallis. On an area of around 1000 m2, it offers children and adolescents both during school and in their free time the opportunity to discover the diverse disciplines of STEM (mathematics, computer science, science and technology) in a practical manner. Compatible with curriculum 21, theory and practice can be combined in a playful and exciting way. More information can be found at www.mintworld.ch.

This body requires a continuous presence on site. Personal collaboration enables close, timely cooperation and the technical precision required for the production of medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Your tasks

• Development and conception of new workshops in close cooperation with the team
• Assistance in developing and expanding the offer
• Support of course instructors in the organisation and implementation of various MINT workshops
• Independent management of workshops
• Depending on the qualification, possibility to carry out supporting research activities in a modern industrial laboratory (e.g. HPLC, GC, titration, cell culture, fermentation, experimental facilities, laboratory automation)

What we are looking for

• Completed vocational training or Matura in a STEM-relevant area or ongoing studies at a technical college or university in the STEM area
• Alternatively, also interested parties with pedagogical or teaching training, in study or in planning such a study
• Very good knowledge of German
• Knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Ideally, initial practical experience in one or more of the following areas: laboratory activities, CNC, 3D printing, electronics or computer science
• Interest in active development and the search for a company that offers space for contributing and implementing creative ideas
• Teamwork as well as independent and solution-oriented work.
• Motivation to collaborate with young people in an educational and multicultural environment
