What you can contribute to
- To assume responsibility for the proper functioning, maintenance and continuous development of the information and telecommunications applications of the Military Police, which are essential to the affairs and commitments of the Police
- Managing the smooth functioning of the military police's information and telecommunications systems in an interconnected manner, while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability and probative value of information
- Coordinate incident analysis and resolution, initiate escalation procedures where necessary and follow up with internal and external partners
- Collect and analyse user requirements and specialized areas, coordinate the implementation of optimizations and ensure that managed applications meet the operational requirements of the Military Police Command
- Ensure the order, management and allocation of hardware and software, and assume responsibility for granting, managing and controlling user rights and access authorizations
- Coordinate testing, updates, versions and deployment of new features, and collaborate with other application managers to ensure application quality, stability and operational readiness
What makes you unique
- Advanced vocational training in the field of ICT with 2 to 3 years relevant experience for the function, or professional certificate with 4 to 7 years relevant experience for the function
- Training in computer science, electronics or equivalent continuing training
- Knowledge of programming languages (Apache FreeMarkerTM, VBA, HTML) and IT management processes (e.g. ITIL)
- A specialized police degree or several years of professional experience in the field of security, as well as military management training, is an asset.

The Command of Operations (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and military commitments of the Swiss Army. The CDmt Op includes the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Skills Centre, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police. About 40% of the approximately 2,500 employees are employed in civilian occupations, from engineers to analysts to mechanics on aircraft.
The Swiss Army employs more than 9,000 employees in four military professions and around 200 civilian professions, at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. It is also responsible for succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
