Description of the position

Our engineering team in Visp, Switzerland is currently looking for an plant engineer. In this position, you are a central component of our engineering team in the middle of it instead of just doing it. In this role, you are crucially involved in ensuring that our production plants run reliably, are continuously improved and keep up to date with technology.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• responsible for planning and implementing investment projects, risk analyses, operational trials or plant optimizations
• responsible for planning and implementing maintenance measures in the assigned area
• ensuring and verifying the ongoing plant documentation
• supporting investment responsibility, representation offices and services within the department
• maintaining the technical responsibility as a "specialist" for assigned areas
• implementing the company's vision and culture and ensuring the transfer of technical know-how

in the department of mechanics to the members of the management team

Qualifications and experience

• Completed training as technician HF with a special focus on mechanical engineering or as a mechanical engineer/schlosser with readiness for further training
• Very good German knowledge
• English knowledge of advantage
• Well-founded professional experience in the field of industrial engineering, especially in process optimization and a good technical understanding of machines and systems
• Excellent communication skills and joy in working in a team
• Self-employed and structured working methods
• Solution-oriented thinking, initiative and resilience round off your profile
